There is no smoking allowed inside in any of KEA’s locations. This also applies to e-cigarettes.

SPS is an aid scheme aimed to ensure that students with mental or physical disabilities are able to complete an educational programme on equal terms with other students.
The particular offers of aid depend on the disability the student is suffering from, e.g. dyslexics, hearing impairment, visual impairment, physical handicap, or psychological disorder.

By booking a private session with a psychologist from the Student Counselling Service, you get the chance to talk about exactly what challenges your student life and your well-being.The sessions are confidential and free.
The Student Counselling Service is an offer for everyone in higher education in Denmark. The Student Counselling Service can help you deal with the personal problems you may encounter as a student at KEA – typically of a psychological nature, e.g., stress, exam anxiety or difficulties in socialising with other people.
While KEA Study and Career Guidance focuses on helping you through challenges in your studies and considerations in connection with study and career choices, the Student Counselling Service is the place to go if you experience personal problems that do not necessarily relate to the specific programme you are attending.

Every second year, all students - both full-time and part-time students - participate in a survey that runs across the Danish Business Academies. The study focuses on both the academic and the social environment of the education, as well as your general experience of how the education works.
The survey will be sent to your KEA mail. Based on the results of the study, action plans are drawn up, which must address the focus areas that are being worked on in the various programs.
As a student at KEA you have the possibility to go abroad to take either a semester of study or your internship.
A stay abroad gives you a broader view – both as an individual and a professional. Living in another country sharpens your intercultural competences and will provide you with an international network. In other words: Your international experience will give your CV more colour and make you more attractive on today's labour market.

Study Environment Rep (SMR) help to ensure that student democracy reaches the individual student at KEA, and ensures well-being and a good study environment.
Are you passionate about a great social environment and will you help ensure that the atmosphere in your class is top-notch? Then you may want to become a Study Environment Representative (SMR).
As a Study Environment Rep (SMR), your main task is to ensure the well-being of your fellow students. You are the link between your fellow students and KEA Student Life, and are at the forefront of creating an inclusive social environment where everyone is heard.
As an SMR you’ll be working closely together with KEA Studieliv. Here you’ll be the spokesperson of your class and you’ll convey the challenges and questions you encounter in your class community. This is also where you and your fellow SMRs can develop new exciting ideas for initiatives at KEA.

If you lose your job or you don't work enough hours, you have to contact SU immediately. Otherwise you risk having you pay the SU back.
It must be normal, paid jobs. The SU office does not accept volunteering jobs or unpaid internships.
Keep track of your application on MinSU or on your e-boks. Please do that before contacting your SU-counselor.
On www.su.dk there is a link called “Hjælp til selvhjælp”. On this link you can learn all about conditions for SU and NemID.
The SU-board automatically extracts information from SKAT (tax), so you need to contact SKAT, if you think that you are charged too much in tax.
Through www.borger.dk, you can send the information the SU board needs yourself. It is important that you do as follows:
www.borger.dk -> login with your NemID -> choose “Digital post” -> choose “Write new post” -> choose “Styrelsen for Institutioner og Uddannelsesstøtte” -> choose “SU (Statens Uddannelsesstøtte)”.
Then you have 4 options. Choose the one related to your situation and send the information to the SU-board.

Yes, you can apply for SU one month before starting at KEA, at the earliest.
It is important that you follow the instructions you receive by e-mail when accepted to KEA. If you cannot find your NEW education on the SU website, please contact your SU counselor.
When you apply for SU you must:
Remember to attach the necessary documentation (the documentation you must attach is specified in the application) – if you do not have the documentation at hand, you must upload it no later than 3 weeks after applying, otherwise the date of delivery counts as the date of application.

There is no maximum on how many hours you can work, but there is a limit to how much you can earn besides your SU. You can see here how much you can earn.
The SU-office will make random checks to establish that you work enough hours and it is your responsibility to inform them if you lose your job or do not work the required hours. Failing to do so, will result in a demand to return the SU payments you received.
The SU-office may refuse to grant you SU if your hourly wage is too low, i.e. below the normal minimum wages in Denmark.

Yes, you can get a SU loan while receiving SU. You can apply for the loan on minSU.
Remember to approve your plan for the loan in minSU. You will NOT receive your loan before you have approved your plan.

When we have received your papers, the SU office will take approx. 3-4 weeks to handle your application. SU is paid out at the beginning of the month, on the last working day of the month before.Your first SU payment is paid out as soon as your application is handled.

Your application will be turned down, and you will be notified via e-boks. If you notice the mistake yourself, please contact Student Affairs at the school you applied to; this will speed up the process.

Through the link, you can go to a calculator to find your tax-free amount. It is your own responsibility to calculate your tax-free amount correctly. Always remember to include your holiday allowance in your total income for the year when you received the holiday allowance.
When you are doing your internship you cannot get SU unless you keep your part-time job besides the full-time internship.
To receive SU during your internship, you must still have a job of minimum 11 hours a week, 43 hours a month and earn a minimum of DKK 100.00 an hour.
If you do not meet these requirements, you cannot receive SU while on internship.
Yes, according to the new legislation per 1 July 2017, the company or internship place may, after the end of the internship period, grant the student the equivalent of a maximum of DKK 3,000 per month of internship.

You have the right to 6 weeks of holidays a year with a maximum of 4 coherent weeks. The SU office can request a confirmation letter from your employer stating your holiday period.

Yes, if you just graduated an AP degree. To do so you must apply for SU within the month of July when you are notified about admission.
It is important that you follow the guide in the acceptance letter from the Admission office. You will receive SU at the earliest from the month in which you apply. It is important that you do not choose the link “Forlæng uddannelsen” (Extend the education).
You must apply for SU for your new Top Up education. Again, please read the information you receive in your acceptance letter carefully. If you cannot find your new education in the application, please contact your SU-counselor at the Study Administration.
The deadline for applying for SU and SU-loan for a given year is 5 December. If you apply for SU after 5 December, the earliest you can receive SU will be January the following year.

At the end of November, the SU-board will send out a loan plan covering the next year. It is important that you remember to approve this plan so that your SU can continue without problems.

You cannot borrow the books from the syllabus with you home, but you can read them in the library or scan the chapters you need on our book scanner. This way, you are always guaranteed access to the literature on your syllabus.
We often buy extra copies of the books on the syllabus for our regular collection, and you can of course borrow them to take home with you – under normal terms and according to the principle of first come, first served.
