The KEA Charrette is held once a year. The Charette form is intense time-limited cooperation on innovative solutions to complex tasks. The participants are students from different kinds of education and different countries and cultures. The challenge takes place in KEA’s surroundings in Nørrebro, Copenhagen, and takes place in the autumn.
The concept provides a good framework for the combination of learning, cooperating and being innovative in a cultural meeting. It consists of three main elements:
KEA’s students have a third of the seats in the Charrette and guest students from partner institutions abroad have two-thirds of the seats. If you’re interested in participating as a student, you must therefore apply for a seat.
From Monday to Thursday there is a light cleaning in classrooms and offices, and during the weekend there is thorough cleaning unless otherwise agreed.
If you want the surfaces to be wiped, for example windowsills or desks, you must make sure that they have been cleared.
All refrigerators in the kitchens are cleaned once a month, and users are notified 2 working days in advance with notices on the refrigerators.
If you have questions or comments about the cleaning, you are welcome to contact Service Desk (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. - remember to write from your KEA-mail).
KEA has a set of general rules of conduct that apply to everyone. Locally, there may be more detailed rules.
Apart from behavioural rules, KEA’s code of conduct includes rules of conduct, security regulations, house rules, regulations on notices, signposting and notices on Fronter and the Intranet. These local rules must be followed even if they are not included in the below rules.
Anyone present at KEA has the duty to comply with the safety and security regulations.
More information will follow...
If you wish to complain about your exam, read more under Exam.
KEA has drawn up emergency procedures that set out what students should do in the event of a fire, threat or other serious situation. You can find KEA’s emergency procedures here, and you are encouraged to familiarise yourself with the procedures and follow them in the event of an emergency alarm and other incidents.
In case of evacuation of a building, find the nearest assembly point on the fire emergency plans placed by the doors of entrance and exit.
Defibrillators can be found at all KEA locations. Specific locations for defibrillators can be found at Tryg Fonden's defibrillator app.

At KEA Library you can always find a copy of the readings from your syllabus. You cannot borrow the books from the syllabus with you home, but you can read them in the library or scan the chapters you need on our book scanner. This way, you are always guaranteed access to the literature on your syllabus.
We often buy extra copies of the books on the syllabus for our regular collection, and you can of course borrow them to take home with you – under normal terms and according to the principle of first come, first served.
All KEA’s programmes are governed by a curriculum. Among other things, the curriculum describes your subjects, what semester they occur in, their intended learning goals for your knowledge, skills and competences, how to work with the study and when the exams will take place.
You can find your curriculum on your programme page
The goal of your course of study is for you to acquire knowledge, skills and competencies within disciplines of professional relevance to your line of education. KEA is a higher education institution and therefore offers teaching on the tertiary level.
The curriculum refers to knowledge, skills and competencies to describe the concrete learning objectives of your education, i.e. what your learn. EU institutions use knowledge, skills and competences as a common frame of reference to compare educational programmes. Among other things, this enables credit transfer. In your programme curriculum, you’ll find the specific learning goals for your programme, split into knowledge, skills and competences.
Knowledge and skills may be learned and form the basis for competences. We obtain knowledge by studying something, by taking classes and reading, whereas we obtain skills by doing exercises corresponding to practice.
We have acquired competences when we’re able to combine new knowledge and skills as a basis for competent action, meaning that we are able to use both theory and practice to solve a task.
The subjects in your programme are worth a number of ECTS points. See more under ECTS.
