Help the cleaning staff
If you want the surfaces to be wiped, for example windowsills or desks, you must make sure that they have been cleared. The same applies to floors.
All refrigerators in the student kitchens are cleaned several times a year, and users are notified several days in advance with notices on the refrigerators. Please remember to remove the items you would like to keep.
If you have questions or comments about the cleaning, you are welcome to contact Service Desk (servicedesk@kea.dk - remember to write from your KEA-mail).
No more paper towels at GBG
At GBG there will be a new sustainable initiative from January 2024: paper towels will be phased out and replaced with cotton cloths where relevant. The cloths are sewn from discarded textiles and replace 2 to 3 pieces of paper towels per hand drying. They can be washed up to 300 times before disposal, and KEA contributes to utilize discarded textiles.
By replacing two pieces of paper towels with a cotton cloth, approximately 30% less greenhouse gas is emitted in the total account including transport and washing process. In addition, the amount of residual waste at GBG is being expected to fall by just over 4 tons per year, as well as there will be a reduction in the use of plastic bags for baskets for residual waste.
