Each department has its own Local Council (LR). In addition, the international programmes have a common international Local Council.
Local Council
In all Local Councils there are two to four students, two of whom are appointed as Local Council chairperson and vice chairperson.
The local council presidency (two students) of each local council sits on the Student Council (DSR). The Student Council (DSR) thus consists of 10 students who are appointed by virtue of their position in the Local Councils.
Members of the Local Councils are elected from among all Student Environment Representatives (SMRs) in each department, and they are responsible for communicating and condensing the inputs brought forward by the Study Environment Representatives (SMRs).
Typically, the student members of the Local Councils gather opinions, feedback, amendments, etc., which they forward to Heads of programmes, Student Life or the Student Council (DSR). The Local Councils (LR) therefore help to streamline the student position in each department, as well as for the international students.
Local Councils will act in addition to existing councils and groups for students.
