A number of KEAs partner universities offer summer schools that KEA students can attend.
Summer schools
If you want an international study experience, but am not inclined to spend a full semester abroad, a summer school might be for you. A summer school is an intense academic and social experience and can be a very rewarding way to spend parts of your summer holiday. The list of schools below are by no means exhaustive, but can give you an idea of locations and topics you can find in a summer school.
Below you can find a list of selected summer schools at our partner universities that accept applications from KEA students.

There are many differences in price, length, credits and application deadlines for each school. Click through the FAQ and each school to learn more about this.
You might qualify for a KEA Grant to pay for some of the expenses of the summer school. Read more about KEA grants and the conditions.
Current summer schools
We will update the list with selected summer schools as soon as our partner universities have announced their upcoming summer schools. If the list is empty, check again at a later time.
Frequently asked questions
-
Who can apply?
All KEA students can apply for Summer Schools though most schools require that you have passed at least one year of studies before you start the programme.
Some schools are very specialised and require that you have experience within a certain discipline while others are meant as introductory courses and only require a general study level.
-
Where can I go?
All over the world. Many schools offer summer schools as part of their course offerings and you can apply to any that you find interesting.
In the list below, you can find a number of Summer Schools offered by KEAs partner universities. Often you will be able to attend with a discount and sometimes even qualify for a grant from KEA or the school abroad.
-
How do I apply?
Each school will have a different application system. Often it is an online form that needs to be filled out along with uploading some documents. A few schools will have an application fee.
Note: Deadlines can be as early as mid-March.
-
What does it cost?
It varies a lot from school to school how much it costs to attend the summer school. The price for accommodation depends on many factors such as the location of the school and whether you can apply to live in student housing or have to find a hostel or Airbnb.
Some schools offer to eliminate or discount the fee for students from partner universities or if you apply early. Some have accommodation and social events included in fee while others want it paid separately.
Look closely at the conditions on the website and contact the institution if you are unsure of the fees.
-
Can I get a KEA Grant?
You might qualify for a KEA Grant to pay for some of the expenses of the summer school.
A KEA Grant is between 1000 and 3000 DKK and is given to qualified students going to selected summer schools. Grants are awarded on a rolling first-come-first-served basis.
-
What is the deadline?
Deadline for applications to summer schools start as early as the 1th of March so make sure you look at the options right away. When we advertise summer schools on this page, you can always see when the application deadline is for the individual summer school.
-
Will I get credit transferred to my KEA degree?
Most summer schools offer some form of credit and a diploma if you complete the school.
In some instances, you might be able to use these credits and get them transferred to your KEA degree, but more often than not, that is not possible. Either the subject matter does not match with any of your required KEA credits or the structure of the programme does not allow for credits transfer.
You should consider a summer school an addition to your current education instead of an integral part of your KEA programme.
