After graduating from KEA you can become self-employed, get employed in a company or pursue further education. Your study and career counsellor can guide you in defining your career wishes and your career options at KEA or elsewhere.
Career
If you want to know what kind of jobs are relevant with the degree you’re studying for, try searching by job title on various job databases. As your professional profile evolves, other kinds of jobs will also be relevant to search for. The electives you take and the internship you go through may also be decisive for your job profile. You can get an idea of the average levels of salary by searching by your programme on www.uddannelseszoom.dk (This site is only in Danish).
You’ll be working across disciplines, obtaining specific competencies no matter the programme you study at KEA. Such disciplines include:
- Design (the combination of visual and technical design)
- Technology (knowledge of the newest technology and its most effective application)
- Project management (project development, project planning, project organisation)
- Business (understanding, marketing, communication, finance and commerce)
- Innovation (idea creation, idea upsizing, innovative ways of doing things, utilising knowledge)
- Entrepreneurship (development and launch of new projects and new enterprises)
- Cooperation and teamwork (colleagues, customers, partners)
- Personal leadership (organisation of time and tasks)
- Communication and presentation (presentation of proposals for solutions with confidence and professionalism)
- Networking (relevant contacts in the industry and business community and amongst fellow students)
- Being social (cooperation. These competencies are just as important to a business as academic competencies)
- Internationalisation (an international study environment, the opportunity to do international projects and internship, collaboration with others from different cultures and academic backgrounds)
If you want to know more, feel free to contact studievejledning@kea.dk.
