The presence of the cleaners

From Monday April 17th, the cleaning assistants from KEA's supplier ProfilService will be present at L16 from 18:00 Monday to Thursday and Sundays from 12:00.

In addition, the individual premises will be cleaned in a new roll, so e.g. classrooms are cleaned distributed throughout the week and not all on the same day of the week as before.

Changes in the assistants' working hours and the new roll have several advantages: working environment for the supplier's employees, more visible cleaning, the quality of the cleaning service and KEA's expenses in the area.

A sticker is placed in the door frame of each room, stating which day the surfaces of the room are thoroughly cleaned. Here, both students and employees must continue to help by preparing e.g. classrooms beforehand = remove rubbish and crockery, clear tables, frames and floors of materials and put furniture in place.

Remember that premises must be left in a tidy condition every day, so that other users can also use them.

TEST OF hand towels AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO PAPER TOWELS

On the same date, paper towels will be replaced with cotton hand towels in the toilets in the back house, for a 2-month test period.
The purpose is to replace disposable items with reusable items at KEA, which is part of the Facility's initiative in relation to reduction of the environmental and climate burden. The handpieces are sewn from recycled textiles and are washed instead of being discarded as residual waste, and they can therefore be reused again and again.
